PRE-KINDY PROGRAMS
Our Pre-Kindy Program Focus
Our early learning programs are designed to support children at different stages of development, recognising that progress in early years is not linear. Program placement is guided by developmental readiness rather than age alone, and children may move between or combine programs as appropriate.
Our approach balances play-based learning with structured instruction. Children learn through exploration, creativity, and guided activities, while also being introduced to routines, focus, and early learning skills that prepare them for school.
Who Our Pre-Kindy Programs Support
- Children aged 3 years and up
- Children who are toilet trained
- Children who are currently enrolled in childcare or preschool
- Children preparing for school or benefiting from additional learning support
- Children who would benefit from structured routines, confidence-building, and guided learning experiences

Frequently Asked Questions
Do we need to bring anything to sessions?
All learning materials are provided. Families may be asked to bring a labelled water bottle or snack depending on session length. Any additional requirements will be communicated clearly in advance.
How do parents stay informed?
Parents receive weekly feedback, free learning guides, semesterly reports, and an annual parent–tutor meeting. Communication is designed to keep parents informed without creating extra pressure.
Why does my child need to be enrolled in childcare or preschool?
Our Pre-K programs are designed to complement, not replace, early childhood education settings. Being enrolled in childcare or preschool helps ensure children are already familiar with group environments, routines, and separation, which supports a smoother and more positive experience in our programs.
Do you support children with additional learning needs?
Yes. We welcome children with diverse learning needs, including learning differences, neurodivergence, and physical or emotional needs that affect learning. Adjustments are discussed during the assessment process to ensure a supportive and positive experience.
How often are classes?
Our classes are usually delivered at a weekly level. Some students may benefit from more than one session per week, depending on their learning needs and goals.
Are classes online or in-person?
For our Pre-Kindy programs all classes are run in-person.
How do I know which program is right for my child?
Program placement is based on developmental readiness rather than age. We offer a free assessment to understand your child’s current skills, confidence, and learning needs, and recommend the most suitable starting point. Children may move between or combine programs as they develop.
What age do children need to be to enrol?
Our Pre-K programs are suitable for children aged 3 years and up who are toilet trained and currently enrolled in childcare or preschool.
Do children need to know letters or numbers before starting?
No prior academic knowledge is required. Our programs are designed to meet children where they are and build skills progressively through structured, developmentally appropriate teaching.
Is this just play-based learning?
Our approach balances play-based learning with structured instruction. Children learn through exploration, creativity, and guided activities, while also being introduced to routines, focus, and early learning skills that prepare them for school.
Do parents stay during the session?
We recommend parents leave the learning space out of the child’s view. This encourages independence. We also understand that this might not be an instant option, our tutors support children patiently, helping them build confidence at their own pace. We work closely with families during the transition period and adjust our approach to support each child’s comfort and emotional readiness.
How is your literacy approach different from other programs?
We use an integrative phonics approach that recognises the complexity of the English language. While letter sounds are taught, they are not treated as rigid rules. We also focus on meaning, vocabulary, patterns, and flexible strategies so children are better prepared for real reading as they progress.
